This study aims to analyze the mathematical adaptive reasoning ability of eighth-grade junior high school students on number pattern material and identify the types of student errors based on Radatz's Error Analysis. The study used a descriptive quantitative approach with 31 eighth-grade students in a junior high school in Pekanbaru as subjects. The research instrument was two essay questions containing four indicators of mathematical adaptive reasoning, namely proposing conjectures, finding patterns in mathematical phenomena, providing mathematical reasons or proofs, and checking the validity of arguments. Data were analyzed through calculating the average score, the percentage of indicator achievement, and the classification of student errors based on Radatz's Error Analysis. The results showed that the indicator of proposing conjectures had the highest achievement of 79.84%, while the indicator of finding patterns in mathematical phenomena had the lowest achievement of 38.71%. The most dominant errors found were procedural, strategic, and technical errors, accompanied by several cases of language and conceptual errors. These findings indicate that students' mathematical adaptive reasoning abilities still need to be improved, especially in understanding pattern regularities, compiling sequential solution steps, and verifying and reflecting on mathematical solution results
