This study aims to analyze the relationship between learning independence and mathematics learning outcomes among students in 7th grade of junior high school. The learning independence instrument was developed in the form of a Likert-scale questionnaire and was tested for validity and reliability using SPSS. The results show that all items are valid, with corrected item–total correlation values ranging from 0,494 to 0,795, and the instrument is reliable with a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0,872, indicating high internal consistency. The study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The sample consisted of 22 students in .Data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation test. The findings indicate that the relationship between learning independence and mathematics learning outcomes is very weak, with a correlation coefficient of r = 0,129. Furthermore, the significance value of 0,567 exceeds the threshold of 0,05, implying that there is no statistically significant relationship between the two variables. These results suggest that students’ level of learning independence does not directly influence their mathematics achievement in this sample. Future research is recommended to involve a larger sample size and consider additional factors that may affect students’ learning outcomes.
