Numerous findings have the potential to be a discussion for further research. In mathematics learning, there are many problems in the form of mathematical errors made by learners in solving problems. This descriptive qualitative research aims to review mathematical errors made by students in Linear Algebra courses. Error analysis model using Kastolan stages that focus on 3 types of errors namely conceptual, procedural, and technical errors. A total of 30 students of Mathematics Education study program from Pelita Harapan University were given question to analyze their mistakes. Data analysis was performed using Miles and Huberman technique which included data collection, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that as many as 50% of students underwent conceptual errors, 20% of students underwent procedural errors, 3.33% of students underwent technical errors, and 26.67% of students underwent no errors. These findings provide an opportunity for researchers to analyze other mathematical learning with Kastolan stages as well as encourage researchers to develop learning models to minimize mathematical errors made by students.
Robert Harry Soesanto Copyright (c) 2021 De Fermat : Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika http://jurnal.pmat.uniba-bpn.ac.id/index.php/DEFERMAT/article/view/147 Wed, 30 Jun 2021 00:00:00 +0000 Development of Android-Based Learning Media on Sine and Cosine Rules Material as an Independent Practice http://jurnal.pmat.uniba-bpn.ac.id/index.php/DEFERMAT/article/view/162
The purpose of this research is to develop Android-based learning media on the material of the Sinus and Cosine rules material as an independent practice that valid, effective and practical. It needs a strategy in solving this problem, one of which is the planting of character as early as possible in both primary and secondary education. Research using a realistic mathematical approach based on culture is expected to develop the character of learners. Madura traditional culture through traditional houses becomes a source of mathematics learning not only emphasizes cognitive aspects but the introduction of local culture by instilling character values. This type of descriptive quantitative research begins with interviews and documentation followed by data retrieval in the form of statistical figures using question tests and observations in students. The results showed that 85.3% of students completed their studies. Realistic mathematics makes it easier for students to understand the material by contexting real conditions, especially in traditional house buildings.
Junaidi Fery Efendi Copyright (c) 2021 De Fermat : Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika http://jurnal.pmat.uniba-bpn.ac.id/index.php/DEFERMAT/article/view/178 Wed, 30 Jun 2021 00:00:00 +0000 ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIS PADA MATERI SPLTV DITINJAU DARI MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES PESERTA DIDIK KELAS X MIPA SMAS DIPONEGORO TUMPANG TAHUN PELAJARAN 2020/2021 http://jurnal.pmat.uniba-bpn.ac.id/index.php/DEFERMAT/article/view/118
This study aims to describe the ability of mathematical problem solving in the SPLTV material in terms of multiple intelligence of class X MIPA students at SMAS Diponegoro Tumpang in the 2020/2021 academic year. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this study were 6 students who were selected through the results of the multiple intelligence questionnaire, including 2 students who had mathematical logical intelligence, 2 students with intrapersonal intelligence, and 2 students with interpersonal intelligence. The techniques of data collection used in this study were multiple intelligence tests, mathematical problem solving tests, and interviews. Dominant research subjects with logical-mathematical intelligence have better skills in solving mathematical problems than other types of intelligence in solving mathematical problems and can practice concepts the concept algorithmically and present concepts in various mathematical representations. It is very important for educators to know and understand what kind of intelligences that students have. It is intended as a material for making lesson plans. So that the learning process can run smoothly, effectively, efficiently, and not only result-oriented.
Nurul Mahfiroh Copyright (c) 2021 De Fermat : Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika http://jurnal.pmat.uniba-bpn.ac.id/index.php/DEFERMAT/article/view/118 Wed, 30 Jun 2021 00:00:00 +0000 PANDEMIC CHALLENGE: EVALUATION OF ONLINE LEARNING USING IMPORTANCE PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS (IPA) http://jurnal.pmat.uniba-bpn.ac.id/index.php/DEFERMAT/article/view/159
Learning mathematics online is a challenge for teachers considering that mathematics has abstract characteristics. Therefore, online learning needs to be designed to be effective. This study aims to evaluate online learning in the Mathematics Education Study Program using Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). Sampling was carried out using random sampling techniques in each batch of students of the Mathematics Education Study Program, PGRI Mahadewa University, Indonesia. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, it was found that online lectures had gone according to student expectations. This is shown from the results of the IPA, namely that most of the indicators are in Quadrant I with the label "Keep Up the Good Work".
Ni Kadek RIni Purwati, Ni Ketut Erawati Copyright (c) 2021 De Fermat : Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika http://jurnal.pmat.uniba-bpn.ac.id/index.php/DEFERMAT/article/view/159 Wed, 30 Jun 2021 00:00:00 +0000 PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA MENGGUNAKAN DISCOVERY LEARNING DI KELAS XI IPS2 SMA NEGERI 3 SAMARINDA http://jurnal.pmat.uniba-bpn.ac.id/index.php/DEFERMAT/article/view/176
This classroom action research aims to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of class XI IPS2 students at SMA Negeri 3 Samarinda through Discovery Learning on mathematical induction materials, linear and matrix programs, and was carried out in August – September 2019 with 36 students as research subjects and research objects. is learning Discovery Learning. On external factor such as the impact of the ingredients. Using a textbook is not enough for students to understand math lesson. For this reason research are trying to develop video-based teaching materials in hopes of overcoming space and time on learning. The learning video countains material discussions, examples of problems, discussion of examples problems, it’s been valeted by a material expert, so that the teaching materials developed by researchers can direct students to critical thinking.
